Continuity is what Apple's calling that — design that enables one device to complement the other. Handoff, for example, lets you start an activity on your iPad or iPhone and continue it on your Mac. I have a lot of unnecessary stuff, files, etc. that I want to wipe from my computer; all of the important things have already been backed up to USB, and so I want to start my spring cleaning with a spring cleaning of my laptop.
I've looked up how to factory reset, has gotten as far as the Disk Utility, but am unable to actually interact with anything on the Erase tab menu.
